Living Legacy Program
We'll be starting a new recurring event on the last Sunday of this month on Oct. 30th at 10:00 am and it'll repeat near the end of each month. I've been in the works of designing this program for the last 6 months and its aim is to provide additional support to my students who are going through challenging times in their lives.
We don't have a solidified name for this event yet, but you can consider it as a support group for boys going through Middle School and Highschool. The intentional creation of this event comes from my personal experiences in Middle School and Highschool in which most of my early day traumas occurred. Though I do not regret those moments because it helped me turn into the person I am today, I do recognize the importance of having people and guidance in a critical stage of a boy's upbringing.
The Living Legacy Program is to provide participating students an additional support system, in which they're able to explore various aspects of their lives in a safe setting. Each session is aimed at a particular subject and participants will be given various assignments to aid them on their journey toward bettering their emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and character.
You may wonder what would qualify me to hold such an event. Some of you may not know that I went to SDSU for Psychology before choosing Martial Arts as my full-time career and spent most of my time learning about child development, learning, cognitive psychology, philosophy, social psychology, and abnormal psychology before obtaining a Bachelor in Psychology. Since then I've continued learning about Psychology, Therapy, and Philosophy. As well, considering my 15+ years of teaching Martial Arts I've been developing a certain level of Mentorship with my students which I take very seriously.
In the near future, we'll be providing more events that'll be aimed at girls in Middle School and Highschool, children age 10 and under, adults, and group events for all ages and gender. Sign-ups will be at the studio and can be done by emailing me back. Feel free to ask me any questions or concerns about this event.

Movie Night
We'll be conducting another Movie Night Event on Friday, Oct. 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This Movie Night we'll be different from the previous ones, as I'll be sharing some of my favorite Martial Art movies I grew up on as a Teenager. I'll be showing a rated R movie (Martial Art Violence, Swearing, and Drinking), and attending students under the age of 18+ must have permission from their parents to see this movie. I'll be providing drinks, snacks, and food at this event.
